Tinted Glass Balustrade Case Study

Location – Stratford Upon Avon

Problem Statement

Arc Metal Design was invited to quote for a balustrade job at a holiday park in Stratford Upon Avon. The client wished to maintain some privacy with a balustrade system without the need for full privacy panels being used.

What we did

Arc Metal Desing undertook a site survey at the holiday park to look at the area and the possible options that we could use to give the client privacy. Being a holiday park there is a large footfall of people that come and go. A standard glass balustrade system would have created a goldfish bowl-type effect which the client was keen to avoid.

During the survey, we discussed various glass-type options that would provide the client with a degree of privacy. We quickly ruled out privacy glass as this would enclose the space and prevent seeing any of the outside views when sat down. Arc Metal Design's recommendation was to use a dark tinted glass that would provide a degree of privacy whilst also enabling an element of viewing through the glass.

Arc Metal Design then manufactured the balustrade system and provided dark-tinted, glass infill panels. As with all our jobs Arc Metal Design provided the installation services to ensure a quality finish to the balustrade.

Outcome

Arc Metal Design provided and installed a stainless steel balustrade system with tinted glass for privacy. The client was extremely happy with the quality of the workmanship and the balance between privacy and visibility.
