Bespoke Frameless Glass Balustrade Case Study

Location – Tamworth

Problem Statement

Arc Metal Design won a contract to provide the architectural Metalwork and glass balustrades for a large new executive property in Tamworth. Part of the job was to provide a balustrade system to the 1st-floor walkout area to a raised wall section.

What we did

Arc Metal Design undertook a site survey to review the area for the balustrade system and elicit client requirements for their balustrade system. One of the key requirements from the client was to have a balustrade system without posts to give uninterrupted views.

The survey identified that standard frameless channel wouldn’t be ideal due to the narrow nature of the wall to fix too. Arc Metal Design opted to use a slimline channel to hold the glass. This provided an added bonus of using thinner glass profiles than a standard fixing channel, ensuring relevant building regulations were met.
